Far out on the bright blue waters of the Giggle Sea, a very unusual cruise ship bobbed gently on the waves.

It was not made of wood. It was not made of metal.

This ship was made of the softest pillows anyone had ever seen.

Big fluffy pillows formed the sides of the ship. Round pillows stacked together made the deck. The sails were stitched from cozy blankets that puffed in the wind like giant, sleepy clouds.

And standing proudly at the wheel was the happiest captain on the whole ocean.

Captain Snuggle.

Captain Snuggle wore a navy-blue captain’s hat that drooped a little to one side and a scarf so soft it looked like it had been knitted from tiny clouds. His whiskers twitched whenever the sea breeze passed by.

He leaned on the railing and looked out across the sparkling water.

“Another perfect day for a cruise,” he said with a satisfied sigh.

The ship’s name was painted across the front in swirly golden letters:

The Pillow Ship Dreamliner

It was the most famous cruise ship in the entire Giggle Sea.

And today was a very special sailing day.

Passengers were already arriving.

The first to climb aboard was a wobbly pink jellyfish balancing six glowing pearls on her wiggly tentacles.

“Make way! Make way!” she giggled. “Juggles the Jellyfish is here to entertain!”

One pearl popped up into the air.

Then another.

Then another.

Soon, all six pearls were floating above her head as she juggled them in a glittering circle.

Captain Snuggle clapped his paws.

“Marvelous juggling, Juggles!”

The jellyfish gave a little bow and nearly dropped a pearl.

“Oops!” she laughed.

Next came a tall narwhal with shiny silver fins and a very worried expression.

She peeked cautiously over the edge of the pillow railing.

“Oh dear,” she murmured. “The ocean looks awfully big today.”

Captain Snuggle tipped his hat kindly.

“Welcome aboard, Nora.”

Nora the Narwhal swallowed.

“Are the waves usually this… wavy?”

“Only the friendly ones,” Captain Snuggle said with a grin.

Nora looked slightly less nervous.

A slow thump… thump… thump echoed across the dock.

A large green sea turtle waddled onto the ship carrying a tall purple top hat.

He placed it dramatically on the deck.

“Ladies and gentle-sea-creatures!” he boomed. “Magnifico the Magnificent Turtle has arrived!”

He flicked his flipper.

POOF!

A puff of glitter burst from the hat, and three rubber fish popped into the air.

Juggles clapped wildly.

“Best cruise ever already!”

Captain Snuggle checked the shiny brass compass.

“All passengers aboard!”

The wind puffed softly into the blanket sails.

The marshmallow ropes creaked gently.

And slowly, smoothly, the Pillow Ship Dreamliner drifted away from the dock.

The Giggle Sea sparkled like a giant bowl of blue jelly.

Soft waves rocked the ship in a calm rhythm.

Swish… sway… swish… sway…

Captain Snuggle loved this part of the journey.

Juggles had already begun her show, tossing glowing pearls high into the air.

Magnifico stood beside her, pulling colorful ribbons from his hat.

Nora stayed close to the railing, watching the water carefully.

“I think the ocean just blinked,” she whispered nervously.

“That was a fish,” said Captain Snuggle gently.

“Oh.”

Nora relaxed a little.

Suddenly—

The ship bounced.

Just a tiny bounce.

Boing.

Captain Snuggle blinked.

Then the ship bounced again.

Boing!

Juggles dropped two pearls.

Magnifico grabbed his hat before it floated away.

Nora squeaked.

“What was that?”

Captain Snuggle leaned over the railing.

The water beneath the ship began to ripple.

Then bubble.

Then wiggle.

And before anyone could say another word—

The entire ocean began to bounce.

BOING!

The ship jumped straight into the air.

Juggles squealed with laughter.

Magnifico slid across the deck like a turtle-shaped bowling ball.

Nora clung to the railing.

“Oh dear! Oh dear! Oh dear!”

Captain Snuggle held onto the wheel.

“Tickle Waves!” he announced.

The Giggle Sea was famous for them.

Sometimes, warm underwater currents bubbled up and made the ocean bounce like a giant trampoline.

The Pillow Ship bounced again.

Boing!

Juggles accidentally launched all six pearls into the air at once.

They sparkled like tiny moons.

Magnifico spun in a slow circle.

“My magic hat is doing unexpected tricks!

The ship bounced again.

BOING!

But this time, Captain Snuggle noticed something.

Just beyond the waves…

A tiny splash.

Then another.

A small voice squeaked from the water.

“Hello?”

Captain Snuggle leaned over the railing.

Floating between the bouncing waves was the smallest whale anyone had ever seen.

A baby whale.

His tail splashed nervously.

“Excuse me,” the little whale said quietly. “Is this the way to Whale Cove?”

Captain Snuggle’s whiskers twitched kindly.

“Well now,” he said gently. “You seem a little far from home.”

The baby whale sniffled.

“The waves started bouncing, and I got all turned around.”

Nora gasped softly.

“Oh my goodness.”

Juggles stopped juggling.

Magnifico removed his hat respectfully.

Captain Snuggle crouched at the edge of the ship.

“What’s your name, little traveler?”

“Splash,” said the baby whale.

“Well, Splash,” Captain Snuggle said warmly, “you’ve found the friendliest cruise ship on the Giggle Sea.”

Splash looked hopeful.

“Really?”

“Absolutely.”

Another wave bounced the ship.

Boing!

Juggles giggled.

“We’re excellent bouncers.”

Captain Snuggle turned to the passengers.

“Crew! It seems we have a new mission.”

Magnifico raised his hat.

“A rescue adventure!”

Nora nodded bravely.

“We must help him.”

Captain Snuggle pointed across the sparkling ocean.

“Whale Cove lies just beyond the Coral Curl Islands.”

Splash blinked.

“I tried to swim there… but the waves kept tickling my tail.”

Juggles floated closer to the railing.

“Don’t worry, Splash!”

She tossed one glowing pearl into the water.

It floated beside the whale like a tiny lantern.

“We’ll guide you.”

Magnifico tossed another glowing ribbon into the air.

It fluttered in the breeze like a colorful arrow pointing forward.

Nora leaned over the railing.

“I can spot the islands,” she said proudly. “They look like giant curly seashells.”

Captain Snuggle steered the ship carefully.

“Full sail, Dreamliner!”

The blanket sails puffed with wind.

The Pillow Ship bounced across the Tickle Waves.

Boing… bounce… swish…

Splash swam beside the ship, following the glowing pearls.

Juggles tossed them one by one into the water ahead.

Each pearl shimmered softly beneath the waves.

Magnifico performed encouraging magic tricks.

He pulled a rubber fish from his hat.

Then a rainbow scarf.

Then a squeaky crab.

Splash laughed.

His tail splashed happily.

Nora guided them through the waves.

“A little left!”

Captain Snuggle turned the wheel.

“Steady now.”

The bouncing waves slowly began to calm.

The water softened.

The sea grew quiet again.

And ahead, glowing in the sunset, were the Coral Curl Islands.

They twisted out of the sea like giant pink spirals.

And just beyond them—

A wide, peaceful bay.

Whale Cove.

Splash gasped.

“That’s my home!”

From the calm water inside the cove, a deep voice called.

“Spla-a-ash!”

A giant whale rose gently from the water.

Splash swam forward as fast as his little tail could wiggle.

“Mama!”

The big whale wrapped him in a warm fin hug.

“We were so worried,” she said.

Splash pointed excitedly.

“The Pillow Ship helped me!”

Captain Snuggle tipped his hat.

“Just doing our cruising duty.”

Juggles tossed one final glowing pearl into the water.

Magnifico bowed deeply.

Nora smiled shyly.

Splash waved his tail.

“Thank you, Captain Snuggle!”

Captain Snuggle grinned.

“Safe travels, little whale.”

The Pillow Ship Dreamliner slowly turned back toward the open sea.

The sun melted into the water like a golden scoop of ice cream.

The stars blinked awake one by one.

The ocean rocked gently again.

Swish… sway… swish… sway…

Juggles yawned.

Magnifico curled up beside his hat.

Nora rested peacefully by the railing.

Captain Snuggle stood quietly at the wheel.

The blanket sails fluttered softly in the night breeze.

The Pillow Ship drifted calmly across the Giggle Sea.

And under the soft glow of the stars, the coziest cruise ship in the world sailed on through the quiet waves.

Swish… sway… swish… sway…

The perfect ending to a very cozy adventure.
